Jotunheimen with its magical Norwegian mountains is perfect for a destination wedding. Røisheim has a long history of hosting weddings. The old buildings and beautiful scenery set a very special frame around the most important day in the life of the couple getting married. Røisheim can offer a private, authentic and rustic experience. With its own chapel, dining room and barn for parties, the entire wedding can be held at the hotel. Most weddings rent the entire hotel and have a wedding lasting three days to end, with dinner on Friday, wedding, dinner and party Saturday, with departure Sunday after breakfast. If you are eloping the privacy of Røisheim will be a perfect match, and we also do smaller, more intimate weddings.

The wedding ceremony can take place in Røisheim's own small chapel where the bride comes up the path to the chapel at the edge of the forest, in the yard between the historic buildings or in Lom Stave Church. Some couples want to be wed on top of a mountain or with skis and celebrate at Røisheim afterwards.
Dinner will be served in Røisheim's dining room, seating for 56 people. If you are greater party, a larger dinner can be served by setting tables up in the fireplace room, accommodating up to 70 people.
Guests who do not stay at Røisheim can stay in hotels in Lom or at Elveseter. The dining room has possibility of a projector.
The barn has been refurbished with its own bar and dance floor for a party in a traditional setting. For enabling good conversations there is a fireplace room in the main house with a piano. The barn is also ideal if you want an informal event where guests can meet after dinner the day before the wedding ceremony. The barn has the option of a projector.
Røisheim's beautiful suites are perfect for your wedding night. We recommend either the antique suites in Peisestugu with a hot tub and fireplace in the room, the Queen Suite which is our largest suite with bathtub and fireplace, or our superior suites at Skjellen, a little further from the main building.

By renting the entire hotel, the wedding will turn into a separate bubble, where guests and the happy couple can celebrate without interference. Guests are distributed to 14 houses around the yard.
